It's all about loving your family, but with a twist. Netflix India on Tuesday revealed the first look of their latest series 

, which stars Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma. The new show is created by Hansal Mehta and Niren Bhatt.

The synopsis of the show reads, "A visionary billionaire grooms a rising tycoon to take over the reins of India’s largest conglomerate as his successor. Months into the top job, he is unceremoniously fired where the mentor takes back the throne. At the slate announcement, co-stars Tillotama Shome and Dia Mirza spoke warmly about Deol’s old-school discipline on set. Shome recalled a moment emblematic of his work ethic: during a take, a fly hovered persistently near Deol’s eye. He didn’t call cut. He didn’t flinch. He stayed in character, unwilling to break Shome’s rhythm. “That kind of conviction,” Mirza noted, “sets the tone for everyone else.”

Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and written by Althea Kaushal and Mayank Tewari,

, director Milap Zaveri is once again gearing up to collaborate with actor Harshvardhan Rane. The upcoming venture, produced by Bhushan Kumar under his T-Series banner, will mark a significant reunion for the duo that has recently proven to be a goldmine at the box-office.

Sources close to the team have revealed that the film is already in advanced pre-production stages and is expected to go on floors in the coming months. Zaveri is known for creating films that resonate deeply with a wide audience, and his signature "massy" romance was cemented by his work on 

Although an official announcement has yet to come, their upcoming collaboration is expected to position Rane in yet another powerful role, grounded in Zaveri’s distinct style.

The development comes after it was speculated that Zaveri would direct another T Series project headlined by 

Tiger Shroff and Vidyut Jammwal. The film was billed as an intense action love story, which would also mark the full-fledged Hindi film debut of actor Krithi Shetty. The film was also supposed to go on floors in February. 

However, the filmmaker won't be helming the said project anymore, as he will be directing the title headlined by Rane, who has been on a good run at the box-office since the re-release of the romantic drama 

was fuelled by its emotionally charged narrative. The film struck a chord with a wide audience, despite lukewarm reviews from critics. By grossing over ₹100 crore against a modest ₹25 crore budget, the film became one of the most profitable Hindi releases of 2025.

Milap Zaveri and Harshvardhan Rane Reunite After 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ For New Film

, Bhavana is seen embarking on a relentless hunt to find her missing brother. Played by Shebin Benson, the brother’s disappearance sets the film’s narrative in motion. The trailer opens with Bhavana’s character frantically searching for him, as an ominous ticking clock underscores the background score.

As the trailer progresses, several characters who appear to be antagonists make their entry, while it is also hinted that the police— including the investigating officer played by Rahman—may be complicit in the crime. Bhavana’s pursuit of her brother and the acts of revenge that follow form the core of what the trailer reveals so far. “I’ll go to any extent to find him,” she says towards the end of the trailer.

The trailer concludes with quick cuts of two stylised action sequences—one set inside a warehouse and another outdoors in slush. Both appear to have been shot using slow-motion cameras. The film’s full title reads 

, with the title displayed in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English. Bhavana also serves as one of the producers of the film.

'Dhurandhar' Composer Shashwat Sachdev To Make His Telugu Debut With 'The India House'

 on Monday, February 2, stated that the zonal officer of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), D Balamurali, declined to comment on the status of Vijay’s upcoming film 

, citing confidentiality. According to the report, the officer said that no information can be revealed until a certificate has been issued.

Speculation around the film’s certification has been rife on social media, with reports suggesting that the film’s producer, KVN Productions, had agreed to remove portions of the film deemed controversial. Some of these reports claimed that as much as 20 minutes of footage could be cut. However, there has been no official clarification from either the producers or the CBFC on the matter.

 report further stated that the CBFC official maintained that it was not legally permissible to divulge any details while the film was awaiting certification. He added that any official information regarding 

 would be made available only through the board’s portal.

, positioned as Vijay’s final film before entering politics full-time, became embroiled in a legal battle after the CBFC delayed issuing its certification. is pulling no punches. It has now been revealed now that the sequel to the blockbuster,

The makers on Tuesday unveiled the first-look poster of the sequel, featuring Singh standing centre-frame in a black trench coat, his hair left loose against a blazing red backdrop. The poster of the Aditya Dhar directorial projects Singh in full-throttle intensity, but it was a small yet telling detail in the corner that stood out: the logos of Star Gold and JioHotstar.

An industry source describes the shift as “routine,” explaining that streaming rights ultimately go to the highest bidder. 

“In this case, it was JioHotstar,” the source says. “It’s a big title for the makers—almost like a jackpot—so there was bound to be enormous buzz and interest. There’s no rule that just because the first part streamed on Netflix, the sequel has to follow suit. It’s similar to T-Series coming on board for the music after Saregama.”

According to industry insiders, the sequel’s album is positioned as a major commercial play. “It’s a massive, chartbuster soundtrack and the response from the film team — whoever has heard it— has been fabulous,” says one source familiar with the project. Another adds that, “The album will again have a wide variety of songs,” signalling continuity with the first film’s genre-spanning ambitions, even as the scale widens.

Narratively, the sequel is expected to pick up threads left deliberately frayed—escalating the covert conflict into a more overt reckoning, while retaining Dhar’s fondness for geopolitical bricolage. A teaser for

Veteran Telugu filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's next film has been announced, marking the director's return to cinema after more than ten years since his last directorial. The announcement was made by Swapna C Dutt's Swapna Cinema, with a brief promotional video. The upcoming film, which is tentatively titled SSR 61, denoting his 61st film, will be produced by popular Telugu director Nag Ashwin and have music by Devi Sri Prasad.

"Vyjayanthi Movies has already positioned SSR61 as Singeetam’s most ambitious film ever- a bold claim considering the trailblazing legacy he carries. With the title and additional details to be revealed soon, the announcement has sparked tremendous curiosity, setting the stage for what could be a landmark moment in Indian cinema. Singeetam is not merely returning; he is aiming to outdo himself. And that possibility alone is enough to make SSR61 one of the most awaited projects of the year," reads a press note. 

The film's title will be announced soon. Rao, who is behind several landmark Tamil and Telugu films such as Kamal Haasan's 

 (2024), is currently working on the sequel to the hit Prabhas film. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the science fiction epic co-starred Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Anna Ben, and Deepika Padukone in important roles. The sequel, however, will not see Padukone's return. It was recently announced that Padukone will no longer be part of the film.
