'Benz': Nivin Pauly Begins Shooting for the LCU Film

Actor and Malayalam movie star Nivin Pauly has stepped into the role of Walter, making an entry into Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) as the antagonist of the upcoming film Benz. The lead actor of this film is Raghava Lawrence and it is being directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, who had earlier made Sulthan (2021) starring Karthi and Remo (2016), starring Sivakarthikeyan. In the shooting still, Nivin can be seen sporting a red, velvet jacket. He has a mullet too and can be seen smoking a cigarette.

The film is co-produced by Sudhan Sundaram under Passion Studios, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s G Squad, and Jagadish Palanisamy’s The Route. Benz marks the fourth film in the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU), following Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo. While Kanagaraj is not directing this instalment, he remains creatively involved, co-writing and co-producing the film. Sai Abhyankkar will be composing the film's music.

Meanwhile, on Pauly's birthday, a teaser of his upcoming film Sarvam Maya was released. The Malayalam film is being directed by Akhil Sathyan, who is also one of the film’s producers. 

A press note released on the actor’s birthday went on to list his upcoming projects in the coming year. It said, “The upcoming year is loaded with a versatile lineup that audiences have been eagerly awaiting, signalling a brilliant new era for the star.  While the slate is diverse, the biggest cheer is for his foray into the fan-favourite genres he has perfected. Paired with Mamitha Baiju, this is the perfect Nivin Pauly entertainer that fans have been craving.  But his artistic range doesn't stop there. He will showcase his intense side in the thriller Baby Girl, hitting theatres this November.”
