Bhuvan Bam to Make Big-Screen Debut Opposite Wamiqa Gabbi in Karan Johar-Backed 'Kuku Ki Kundali'

Bhuvan Bam to join Wamiqa Gabbi in Dharma Production's next

After winning hearts on the digital space with shows like Dhindora and Taaza Khabar, actor-comedian Bhuvan Bam is set to make his big-screen debut. According to reports, Bam will star opposite Wamiqa Gabbi in an upcoming film by Dharma Productions. Pegged as a romantic comedy and a family entertainer, the film is reportedly titled Kuku Ki Kundali.

Kuku Ki Kundali is described as a lighthearted rom-com packed with "humour, sharp dialogues, and warm family moments". While an official announcement is currently awaited, it is said that the film will be directed by Sharan Sharma. It is written by Kunal Aneja and Mohak Aneja.

A leading YouTube personality, Bam enjoys legions of fans who have been eagerly awaiting his silver screen debut. His pairing with Gabbi, known for Jubilee and Bhool Chuk Maaf, has further raised excitement for this Dharma offering.

Bam rose to fame with his viral comedic content on his YouTube channel BB Ki Vines. After singing in music videos and acting in short-format content, he made his streaming debut in 2023 with Taaza Khabar. Two seasons old, the darkly comic series features Bam as a Mumbai sanitation worker who acquires a mystical ability to see news beforehand.

Bam also stars in Nikkhil Advani’s Revolutionaries, an epic period series about armed resistance against the British Raj. Adapted from Sanjeev Sanyal’s non-fiction book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom, the series highlights stories of young patriots who took up arms against British rule. Bam is joined in the cast by Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shah. 

Gabbi, meanwhile, has the romantic drama Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling and the horror comedy Bhoot Bangla on the cards. The latter venture reunites Akshay Kumar with ace filmmaker Priyadarshan.

Known for working and excelling across industries, Gabbi will also be seen in G2, the sequel to the 2018 Telugu spy thriller Goodachari, and in the upcoming Tamil fantasy comedy Genie featuring Ravi Mohan.
