The shoot of the highly anticipated Chatha Pacha has finally wrapped filming amidst rumours of Megastar Mammootty joining the film’s sets on its final days to play a cameo. The film, based around a homegrown wrestling league, stars Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Siddique, and Sai Kumar, among many other actors. Advaith Nayar is directing it. The film’s producer wrote an emotional note on Instagram speaking about the challenging two-year period that led to the film’s completion.
Shihan Shoukath wrote, “…only a few know this, but behind the cameras, I was living through the most intense months of my life. On day 60 of the shoot, I became a father. On day 30, my family got news that shook our lives. I was catching flights between hospitals and sets, trying to hold everything together. It felt like I was playing life on the hardest difficulty with no pause button. But we pushed through, and we showed up. We fought for every single frame. And the brotherhood we built on set, the friendships, the chaos, the love for what we were building, helped me get through every single one of those scary days. this crew and cast lit up the darkness, again and again.”
Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is being produced by Reel World Entertainment’s Shihan Shoukath, along with Ritesh and Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan. First-time filmmaker Adhvaith Nayar is directing it. Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair, and Ishan Shoukath appear in the lead roles of this movie.
The music is composed by the celebrated composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, making their much-awaited Malayalam cinema debut with the soundtrack. The technical team includes Anend C. Chandran as Director of Photography, Kalai Kingson handling action choreography, Vinayak Sasikumar penning lyrics, and Mujeeb Majeed composing the score. The screenplay is written by Sanoop Thykoodam, and Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing.
Chatha Pacha is being distributed by Wayfarer Films in Kerala, with PVR Inox Pictures bringing it to audiences in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. In Hindi, Dharma Productions will be handling the film’s distribution and Mythri Movie Makers in Telugu. Globally, The Plot Pictures will be taking Chatha Pacha to international audiences, ensuring the film finds its way onto screens far beyond home turf. The music rights are with T-Series.
