Scheduled to release theatrically on May 1, 'Ek Din' is a remake of the 2016 Thai film 'One Day'
Aamir Khan Productions has debuted the trailer for Ek Din, a soft-edged romantic drama starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. The film marks Sai Pallavi’s debut in Hindi cinema ahead of her turn in Ramayana.
Directed by Sunil Pandey and written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra, Ek Din unfolds over the course of a single, life-altering day in the lives of two strangers. The trailer introduces the premise of a “fortune bell” ("kismat ki ghanti") that is believed to grant a wish for true love when rung.
On a skiing trip, Rohan (Junaid Khan) is seen making a wish before the bell while looking at Sai Pallavi’s character, Meera, wishing that she could be his, even if for a single day. His dream appears to come true as we see the two characters draw close, forging a bond that will alter the course of their lives. The trailer is cut to Arijit Singh's gently dreamy title track, which was recorded in the singer's hometown and recently released online.
