‘Irumudi’ Glimpse: Ravi Teja Leads Shiva Nirvana's Story About Family and Transformation

Ravi Teja teams up with director Shiva Nirvana for Irumudi, a family drama rooted in culture, faith, and love. A glimpse from the film was recently launched.

Priya Bhavani Shankar plays his wife, Kaveri, and child actor Baby Nakshathra plays their daughter. This film marks Nirvana's first collaboration with Teja. It also weaves together themes of sacrifice and personal transformation, with Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Swasika, and Ramesh Indira rounding out the ensemble in key roles.

Teja's role is a notable departure from the characters he has played before. In Irumudi, he plays a devoted father who, determined to protect his daughter at any cost, resolves to leave behind his drinking habits by taking Ayyappa Deeksha. The spiritual journey unfolds from there, pulling audiences into a story that is as much about inner transformation as it is about family.

In this film, we see Teja stepping into a more introspective role. The trailer successfully extracts an emotional response from the audience, showing just how central the father-daughter bond is to the story, with Teja and Baby Nakshathra sharing touching moments, showing that the film has genuine emotional weight behind it.

Teja reflected on the project following the release of the film's poster, which shows him in traditional Ayyappa Swami attire, surrounded by devotees in a colorful, joyful procession. "Some stories choose you at the right moment in life," he wrote on X. "Feeling blessed to be part of one such story again, letting belief lead the way."
