Just days before Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyaar was set to release on December 5, the makers have decided yet again to back out and push its release. The new date is now slotted for December 12.

The film is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, whose last directorial feature Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum released in 2016. Karthi’s last theatrical release was 2024’s Meiyazhagan, apart from cameos in HIT and Kanguva.

The posters of the film revealed Karthi in the attire of a police officer and the songs from the film have gone on to become popular. The music is by Santosh Narayanan. The film’s first single ‘Uyir Pathikaama’ was released over six months ago.
