Kartik Aaryan's Next Titled 'Naagzilla'; Karan Johar-Backed Film to Clash with 'Bhediya 2' in August 2026
'Naagzilla' will have a box office face-off with 'Bhediya 2', which could result in an amusing weekend as both are creature-fantasy films.
After weeks of speculation, it is finally official: Kartik Aaryan will headline Karan Johar-backed fantasy comedy Naagzilla. The film will feature Aaryan as a shape‑shifting Naag and will chronicle its epic adventure.
Naagzilla will be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for helming the Fukrey franchise. The movie is written by Gautam Mehra.
The actor took to Instagram and posted a motion poster of the film. In a cheeky caution, Aaryan wrote that the audience has seen films starring humans, and its time to watch a movie headline by snakes.

The release date, incidentally, was first announced by Dinesh Vijan when Maddock Films revealed their horror-comedy universe slate in January. The producer had booked the slot for Bhediya 2, starring Varun Dhawan.
As of now, Naagzilla is likely to clash with Bhediya 2, which could result in an amusing weekend as both are creature-fantasy films. Naagzilla is presented by Dharma Productions & Mahaveer Jain Films.
This will be Aaryan's second collaboration with Dharma Productions after Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, which is eyeing a 2026 Valentine’s Day release.
