What happens when a thief walks into the life of a wealthy man battling alzheimer's? This forms the crux of Sudheesh Sankar's upcoming film Maareesan. The film's trailer, launched on Monday, showcases the unlikely bond formed between a thief (Fahadh Faasil) and an elderly man with Alzheimer's, as they navigate the streets (Vadivelu). While the friendship begins as a facade, with Faasil planning to loot Vadivelu, the trailer suggests that things get upturned along the way in this road drama.

The trailer also suggests an intense thriller looming in the background, as a cop (Kovai Sarala) is on the tail of Fahadh Faasil's character. Also co-starring Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, P.L Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, Krishna, Haritha, and Telephone Raja, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja—Maareesan is produced by Super Good Films, with V Krishna Moorthy credited for the story, screenplay, dialogue, and creative direction.
