'Pushpa 2' Stampede: Allu Arjun Visits Hospital To Meet Injured Child
Visuals showed Allu Arjun arriving with his team to visit the boy, who was hospitalised on December 4 following brain damage.
Superstar Allu Arjun on Tuesday visited KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad to meet the child who was injured during the stampede at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule, last month.
A stampede had erupted at Sandhya Theatre during the screening of the Telugu blockbuster on December 4, leading to the death of a woman, while her nine-year-old son, Sri Teja, was left seriously injured.
Visuals showed Arjun arriving with his team to visit the boy, who has been in the hospital since December 4. This comes after the actor said he was advised not to see the child in the hospital due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
Ahead of Arjun's visit, the SHO of Ramgopalpet Police Station had also issued a notice to the actor to keep his movement confidential to ensure public order is maintained around the hospital.
According to the boy's father, Sri Teja was unresponsive for 20 days and showed the first positive signs of recovery on December 24. Arjun had also announced financial assistance of ₹ 25 lakh to the family and promised to take care of the medical expenses of the injured.
"Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and I will meet the family personally,” he had posted on X.

After the stampede, the police had filed a case against the theatre management, Arjun, and his security team for going ahead with the said visit— despite being instructed otherwise sensing a tense situation, following which the actor was arrested on December 13. He was granted interim bail on December 14 by the Telangana High Court. On January 3, Arjun was granted regular bail by a city court.
Pushpa 2, meanwhile, has emerged as the biggest Indian grosser of all-time earning ₹1831 crore worldwide in 32 days, surpassing SS Rajamouli's Bahubali 2, which had minted ₹1810 crore globally in its lifetime. Pushpa 2 is targeting a finish above ₹1900 crore at the box office.
