Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that the Superstar was seen writing even on the sets of their film 'Coolie'.
In one of the promotional interviews of Coolie to Galatta Plus, director Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that Superstar Rajinikanth used to spend as many as two hours every day penning his autobiography. He said that he had even spotted Rajinikanth writing, even on the sets of their film Coolie.
Kanagaraj added that he would write “every single day”, especially starting from the last two schedules of the big-budget film.
To THR India, the director had revealed that the first part of Coolie will be high on emotions, after which it will switch gears to action mode. He confirmed that the film's trailer will be out on August 2, putting an end to all speculations about the possibility of a teaser cut.
"I have tried to elevate the drama part and the emotions more, especially in the first half, which will drive you with emotions. And all of a sudden, it will shift gear to action, and you will see the other side of Rajini sir." Coolie is also a film that will have a lot of style and new techniques. The writing, too, will be different, especially structure-wise, in the second half, he revealed. "The hype is very high," he said.
That is also why there will be no other teaser for the film. Even for an earlier glimpse of Coolie, which was a brief video that was released 100 days before its release date, the filmmaker stuck to plain backshots.
"For '100 Days for Coolie', the production house wanted a poster. I called Gopi Prasanna [publicity designer] to do it at 3 pm, when we had to release it at 6 pm. He was at an airport and couldn't do it. So instead, we took all the shots where we could not reveal anything. The idea behind the shots was to not show anything until the trailer is ready," Lokesh added.
The action entertainer is scheduled for worldwide release on 14 August. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan in key roles.
