Ram Charan's upcoming film Peddi is touted to be one of the most anticipated Telugu films, and according to reports, the actor is now gearing up to film a grand train sequence for the film.
According to India Today, a grand set has been built on the outskirts of Hyderabad, where Charan will shoot until June 19. The publication reported that the scene, "shot with great intensity and scale, is set to become one of the biggest action highlights of Peddi." Avinash Kolla (Dasara, Vaathi (2023), and Game Changer (2025)) serves as the film's production designer.
Meanwhile, the streaming giant Netflix has reportedly secured the post-theatrical digital rights to Peddi in a deal valued at ₹105 crore plus GST, according to a report by Live Mint. The film will be released in theatres on 27 March 2026.
Peddi, previously referred to as RC 16, marks Ram Charan’s 16th project and promises to bring something special to the table. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film will feature an ensemble cast that includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. This also marks Janhvi Kapoor's second venture into Telugu cinema following her appearance in Devara: Part 1.
With the promise of gripping performances and stunning visuals by cinematographer R Rathnavelu, the film is expected to be a return to form for Ram Charan after Game Changer. The Shankar film, which also starred Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah and Sunil, was released in January to mixed reviews. The film has music by AR Rahman. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
In the first glimpse of the film, which was released in April, the actor was seen in a raw, rugged avatar. Released on Ram Navami, the teaser introduced Charan in a rustic rural setting, where he’s seen with a beedi in hand.
