During a recent Instagram Live on his 43rd birthday, Kapoor was asked about the next installment in the Animal franchise. "Animal Park should start in 2027," the actor spilled. "Sandeep has been interacting with me on the idea, the music and the characters, and it's just crazy, and I can't wait to be on set.”

Animal, directed by Vanga in his second Hindi outing, was the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023 and the biggest hit of Kapoor's career, grossing north of ₹900 crore at the worldwide box office. It also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri and Anil Kapoor. A violent family saga, the first film ended with a post-credit sequence teasing a potential universe.
