Salman Khan is in discussions with filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. for a potential superhero film that would see the actor play a weary crime-fighter looking to retire, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama.

The project, currently in the scripting stage, is described as a high-concept superhero comedy that blends action set pieces with broad humour. The story reportedly centres on a veteran superhero who has grown tired of saving the world and hopes to step away from the role, only to be repeatedly drawn back into conflict by circumstances beyond his control.

Sources said the tone of the film leans toward irreverent genre storytelling, with the narrative combining comic beats with the conventions of a large-scale superhero film. The character is expected to be written with Khan’s screen persona in mind, should the actor formally come on board.

Discussions between Khan and the director duo have reportedly been ongoing for several months. While the actor is said to have responded positively to the central idea, sources indicated that he has asked the filmmakers to finalise a screenplay before committing to the project.

Budget considerations are also believed to be a factor in the discussions. According to sources, Khan has emphasised the need for the film to be mounted within a controlled production scale rather than as a heavily budgeted superhero spectacle.

A detailed narration is expected to take place around April 2026 once the script reaches a more complete stage. If the project moves forward, production is tentatively expected to begin in November 2026.

The film is said to be backed by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Reel Life Entertainment.

If finalised, the project would mark the first collaboration between Khan and the Raj & DK filmmaking duo, who are known for genre-blending projects across film and streaming. Further details, including casting and title, have not yet been announced.
