Netflix is doubling down on homegrown thrillers with Shaque: Trust No One, a mystery series marking Parineeti Chopra's debut in the format. The show premieres September 24 and centers on a mother whose nine-year search for her missing child forces her to confront uncomfortable truths about the people closest to her.

The series comes from creators Rensil D'Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra, with D'Silva also directing under the Alchemy Films banner, his first project with the streamer.

Chopra leads a stacked ensemble that includes Jennifer Winget, Soni Razdan, Harleen Sethi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sumeet Vyas, Anup Soni and Dhruv Chowdhary.

Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, called the show an emotional crime drama anchored by a mother's relentless search. "The characters are central to this journey, each carrying their own conflicts and secrets, constantly shifting our understanding of what has happened and where the truth lies," Bami added.

For Malhotra, marking his fourth collaboration with Netflix after Tribhanga, Maharaj and Ikka, the appeal was immediate. He said he was drawn in the moment D'Silva narrated the story to him, and described the project as an emotionally driven thriller built around motherhood, instinct and the slow erosion of trust between people who are supposed to know each other best.

"At its heart, the story begins with a mother searching for her missing child. But that search soon becomes something much bigger – a journey into the secrets and relationships of the people closest to her," Malhotra added.

D'Silva echoed that sentiment, framing the show as one built on uncertainty where every answer opens up a new question, and the audience is meant to stay unsure of who to believe until the very end. Shaque: Trust No One premieres September 24 on Netflix.
