Falguni Shane Peacock has long occupied a unique place in Indian fashion, building a global identity through couture that blends Indian craftsmanship with an unmistakably contemporary aesthetic. At FDCI’s Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, the designer duo returned to the spotlight as the opening show presenters with Le Grand Voyage — a collection that celebrated travel, architecture and artistry while also marking an important milestone for the luxury house.

The showcase was the first India Couture Week presentation since Falguni Shane Peacock entered into a partnership with the RPSG Group. It signalled the beginning of a new chapter, one that combines the brand’s established international reputation with renewed ambitions for growth and luxury positioning.

At the heart of that vision is Shivika Goenka, Director – Luxury and Education, RPSG Group, who sees the collaboration as an opportunity to build on what has already made Falguni Shane Peacock one of India's most recognised couture labels.

"Le Grand Voyage is a celebration of journeys, craftsmanship, creativity and ambition," Goenka says. "For us, this showcase marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter: Falguni Shane Peacock's first India Couture Week since our partnership and the start of a much larger journey that we look forward to building together. What drew us to the house was its ability to create luxury couture that stands confidently alongside the very best in the world. Le Grand Voyage reflects that vision beautifully, and we believe this is just the first of many milestones ahead."

The sentiment perfectly captures the significance of the evening. While the runway showcased breathtaking couture, it also underscored a shared ambition to continue elevating an Indian luxury brand that has consistently resonated with audiences across the world.

For over two decades, Falguni Shane Peacock's signature language of sculptural silhouettes, elaborate embellishment and statement occasionwear has made it a favourite among celebrities, international clients and couture collectors alike.

With Le Grand Voyage, that global perspective became the collection's central narrative. Drawing inspiration from some of Europe's most iconic cultural landmarks — from the Byzantine mosaics of Rome and the Belle Époque elegance of Paris to the Gothic architecture of Strasbourg and Bavaria's regal palaces — the collection also paid homage to the timeless grandeur of the Taj Mahal. Together, these references created a visual dialogue between East and West, tradition and innovation.

The result was a series of meticulously crafted ensembles that included richly hand-beaded tapestry jackets, embroidered sherwanis, dramatic capes, sculpted corsetry and couture lehengas. Every garment reflected the designers' fascination with travel — not simply as movement across borders but as an exchange of ideas, artistry and culture.

Design has always been central to the Falguni Shane Peacock philosophy, and this season that conversation extended through its collaboration with Kohler. Inspired by the brand's renowned Colours and Finishes portfolio, the collection translated metallic tones such as Brushed Rose Gold, Brushed Bronze, Brushed Moderne Brass and French Gold into intricate embroidery and luxurious surface detailing. Softer shades including Cashmere, Teakberry and Honed Blush found expression through refined textures and sculptural tailoring, creating couture that echoed Kohler's emphasis on craftsmanship and innovation.

The collaboration also expanded beyond the runway with an immersive installation featuring Kohler's iconic faucets, creating an experiential bridge between fashion, design and luxury living.

For Falguni Shane Peacock, however, the collection remained deeply personal. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the showcase, the designers described Le Grand Voyage as a celebration of the beauty that emerges when cultures meet. Their travels across Europe became the starting point for garments that reinterpret architecture, history and craftsmanship through the lens of Indian couture.

"Collaborating with Kohler on this collection allowed us to explore their iconic colours and finishes through the language of couture, translating materiality, innovation and craftsmanship into every silhouette. We are honoured to open FDCI's Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 and grateful to Mr. Sunil Sethi and FDCI for continuing to champion Indian couture on one of its most prestigious platforms," say the designers.

Opening FDCI's Hyundai India Couture Week has always been regarded as one of the most prestigious honours in Indian fashion, and Le Grand Voyage reinforced why the label continues to occupy that position. The collection demonstrated technical mastery while remaining emotionally resonant, balancing grandeur with storytelling in a way that has become synonymous with the brand.

The evening also highlighted how luxury fashion is increasingly becoming a collaborative ecosystem where couture intersects with design, jewellery and lifestyle. Jewellery partner P.C. Totuka & Sons introduced its latest high jewellery collection, Colourdrop, featuring natural diamonds, emeralds, rubies and rare gemstones that complemented the couture presentation.

For Shivika Goenka and the RPSG Group, though, the runway represented something even larger than a successful collection launch. It reflected a long-term commitment to nurturing an Indian luxury brand capable of competing confidently on the global stage while staying firmly rooted in the craftsmanship that defines its identity.

If Le Grand Voyage is any indication, the partnership begins with both creative confidence and strategic clarity. For a brand that has spent years taking Indian couture across international runways and red carpets, this new chapter appears focused on expanding that legacy even further — one collection, one journey and one milestone at a time.
