'Tere Ishk Mein' Box-Office: Dhanush-Kriti Sanon's Romantic Drama Grosses ₹100 Crore Globally

There’s no stopping filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s latest feature Tere Ishk Mein at the box-office as the romantic drama has crossed the ₹100 crore worldwide mark within a week of its release. Headlined by Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, the film may have opened to negative reviews, but that had little impact on the ground as the film has been steadily netting collections.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Tere Ishk Mein grossed ₹92 crore in India, with an additional ₹8 crore coming from the international market, taking its six-day total worldwide gross to ₹100 crore.
Tere Ishk Mein is the first ₹100 crore Bollywood grosser for Dhanush, who has appeared in Hindi titles like Raanjhanaa, Shamitabh—co-starring Amitabh Bachchan—and Atrangi Re, which was a direct-to-streaming release during the pandemic.
According to the industry tracker, Tere Ishk Mein is showing great holds in mass pockets while getting steady footfalls from Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru. In terms of net box office, the film has so far minted ₹79 crore domestically.
After a big ₹50 crore opening weekend, the film displayed strong holds in the weekdays. On Monday, it clocked nearly ₹9 crore, followed by ₹10 crore and ₹7 crore on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. The film will now have one more clear day before the big release of the week: Dhurandhar.
The Aditya Dhar-directed espionage action drama might dent the momentum of Tere Ishk Mein as it gears up for its second weekend and will easily cross the ₹100 crore domestic mark as well.
Written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, Tere Ishk Mein also stars Prakash Raj, Ravi Kishan and Priyanshu Painyulli. With music by AR Rahman and lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the film is produced by T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions.
Dhurandhar, meanwhile, features a powerful ensemble cast consisting of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal ('The Angel of Death'), R Madhavan as intelligence strategist Ajay Sanyal ('The Chariot of Karma'), Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait ('The Apex Predator'), and Sanjay Dutt as Chaudhary Aslam ('The Jinn').
