Karan Johar is back to reality TV with The Traitors Season 2, following the immense popularity and success of Season 1. Built on a game of trust, betrayal, and strategy, this murder-mystery show returns with a brand new lineup of stars.

The show is an adaptation of the globally successful reality competition series The Traitors. The second season brings together an expansive cohort of well-known names in the industry, from actors and comedians to digital creators and public personalities.

The new season invites 21 celebrities, including Mallika Sherawat, Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D'Souza, Ranveer Brar, Dalip Tahil and more.

Housed under one roof, the show requires contestants to compete in a series of tasks to build a prize fund. They engage in a confrontational battle to reveal who they think the traitor is, and in the process, eliminate the innocent players while keeping their identities hidden. The traitor is be chosen by the host—Johar.

During the show's launch event in Mumbai on July 30, Johar said, "This season shocked, surprised, appalled and even terrified me. I saw the level of betrayal, I saw the level of attack, I saw the level of manipulation, and I saw the level of strategy that I was not expecting."

He went on to reveal how there was "an attack and stab in the back" every night, adding that the show stopped feeling like a game and became an actual battle of betrayal. "Emotions you won't lack. And unlike other shows, the winner won't be a hack," he concluded.

The Traitors Season 2 will stream on Prime Video from August 13, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.
