Yash's latest gangster epic Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups had a sobered-down on day two after a gigantic opening on Wednesday, with collections coming down across the board. On the opening day, the Hindi version alone clocked in an estimated ₹55 crore, recording the highest opening day ever for an original South film in the Hindi market.
The opening day figures were better than some of the Bollywood tentpole films in Hindi, Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal, Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, which had minted a similar figure in 2023.
