'Toxic': Yash's Film Locks August Release Date

Yash's upcoming film, Toxic, has locked a release date after several delays. The film will now be out in theatres on August 26, the actor announced on social media. Marking Father's Day on June 21, the actor shared a release update, perhaps alluding to his role as a father in the film.

"Honour Thy Father... #Toxic In Cinemas Worldwide from 26-08-2026 #ToxicTheMovie," he wrote on X.

Toxic has faced various delays in release since it was announced to be released in March earlier this year. It was pushed to June due to the ongoing crisis in West Asia. But the Kannada superstar's film was eventually rescheduled from its June release window as well. The actor announced the news on X, adding that the decision follows the film’s presentation at CinemaCon.

"There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed that this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide. Toxic is complete, and we are currently aligning global distribution and partnerships. In light of this, we have decided to recalibrate our release timeline. While we will not be releasing on June 4 as announced earlier, we will be releasing at a later, globally aligned date," Yash wrote in a statement.

Toxic stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles. Written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam — reinforcing its global ambition. It is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
