Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will film the 'War 2' dance-off until July 7 at YRF Studios.
After a slight delay, the mega dance off is finally happening. Superstars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR began filming their dance battle on Tuesday for their upcoming actioner War 2. The duo will have a face-off in a special number composed by Pritam.
According to a report in Peepingmoon, Roshan and NTR will film the sequence at YRF Studios in Mumbai.
The song is being choreographed by the duo Bosco-Caesar, who also worked on War's chartbuster tracks 'Ghungroo’ and ‘Jai Jai Shiv Shankar’.
Billed as a "climactic dance" number, Roshan and NTR will shoot the sequence over seven days and call it a wrap on War 2's nearly 18-month production journey on July 7. The film will then be readied for a grand release on August 14.
The song was earlier supposed to be shot in March, but was pushed after Roshan suffered a leg injury during rehearsals. The actor has since been prepping intensively.
In War 2, Roshan returns as RAW Agent Kabir while NTR is set to play the antagonist. Produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films, War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji, who will be collaborating with Roshan and NTR for the first time. Mukerji last directed the 2022 spectacle Brahmastra.
Roshan originally led YRF's third spy universe film, War, in 2019, which emerged as an all-time blockbuster and the highest-grossing film of the year. This will be NTR's third film post-pandemic after hits like SS Rajamouli's RRR (2022) and last year's Devara: Part 1. War 2 will release worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on August 14 and will clash with Rajinikanth's Coolie.
Roshan will next be seen in Hombale Films' ambitious pan-Indian project. Vijay Kiragandur, Founder, Hombale Films, said with Roshan, the team will aim to mount a film where "intensity meets imagination on a grand scale". The production house has backed pan-India blockbusters like Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 1 & Chapter 2, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire headlined by Prabhas, and Rishab Shetty's Kantara.
