This week's theatrical and streaming arrivals see a superhero returning, as Spider-Man: Brand New Day leads the slate. Small-town stories are also hitting theatres this week, with the 1999-set investigative thriller Newton's Third Law and the psychological horror Unmadham. English

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the fourth film in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man franchise stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando as Scorpion and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk. The film also stars Sadie Sink in a role that has not been revealed yet. Set in the years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film shows Peter Parker returning as Spider-Man, this time in a world that no longer remembers him, after Doctor Strange’s spell erased public memory of Peter’s identity. Spider-Man is back to fight crime, now in a world that doesn't remember him, as he faces a powerful new threat. The film releases in India on July 30, a day ahead of its global release on July 31.

Hindi

Directed by Vivek B. Agrawal, this comedy stars Raghav Juyal as Ajay, alongside Sanjay Kapoor, Barkha Singh, Niharika NM, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vivan Bhatena, Niki Walia, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Tina Desai. The story follows an actor who loses money in cricket betting and has a tight deadline to repay a dangerous gangster, while a single lie triggers a series of misunderstandings. The film is written by Sudipto Sarkar and Agrawal, and produced by Avantika Hari, Sunil Rupani and Agrawal under Eastwood Pictures and Indian Stories 2.

A romantic drama centred on love, relationships and sacrifice, the film marks the Bollywood debut of television actress Kajal Chauhan, alongside newcomers Bhanuj Sood and Shubhkaran Bhopal, with Mushtaq Khan, Aroon Bakshi, Raju Kher and Niki Aneja Walia in supporting roles. Directed by Rajiv Shamlal Soni in his feature directorial debut, the film is produced by Ishpaul Singh Chawla under the Grandway Productions banner and releases in theatres on July 31.

Directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy and written by Siddarth Sen and Pankaj Matta, the film follows three childhood friends who reconnect at a reunion and explores themes of dreams, nostalgia, love and life. Starring Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Varun Sharma, Rakul Preet Singh, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Nora Fatehi, the film also features Shakti Kapoor and Vishakha Singh. The film is produced by Imtiaz Ali, Mahaveer Jain, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and Reeyan Shah.

Telugu

Written and directed by Rajesh Karna, this investigative thriller set in 1999 is centred around a double murder and the unexpected characters roped into the case, packed with intrigue, secrets and a quest for justice. The film, starring Jagapathi Babu, Srinivas Avasarala, Sumanth, Abhinaya, Harini Rao Gaganam, Neha Pathan and Ravi Varma, comes to theatres on July 31.

Malayalam

Directed by Adithyan Chandrasekhar, this comedy sci-fi film stars Neeraj Madhav and Althaf Salim in the lead roles, alongside Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Aju Varghese and Dinesh Prabhakar in supporting parts. Written by Niyas Muhammed, Nithiraj and Anandhu S.Raj, the film is produced by Reju Kumar and Resmi Reju, along with executive producer Jayakrishnan RK and creative producers Kishor R Krishnan and Anand Suresh. Neeraj Madhav is also credited as a composer for the film, along with Anand "Arcado" Seetharaman. The film releases in theatres on July 30.

Directed by Kiran Das in his feature directorial debut and written by Shahi Kabir, this psychological thriller stars Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose. The story centres on a police constable whose already strained domestic life grows more precarious when he reopens a cold case with apparent supernatural dimensions and his grip on reality loosens as the investigation unfolds. The film's cast also includes Siddique, Krishna Prabha and Sijoy Varghese. Presented by T-Series Films and Panorama Studios and co-produced by Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon, the film releases in theatres on July 31.

Tamil

Created and directed by Deepak Sundarrajan, this medical drama on the personal and professional lives of surgical interns, residents and attendings at the fictional RK Multispeciality Hospital is back with its newest season. Starring Deepa Balu, Anumol K. Manoharan, Charukesh M, Karthik Kumar, and Yogalakshmi Ramesh, the third season continues the hospital's high-intensity world alongside new professional dilemmas within the hospital corridors. The new season releases on JioHotstar on July 30.
