Actor and acting coach Saurabh Sachdeva has joined the cast of The Peasant, the upcoming international revenge-action thriller headlined, directed and co-written by Dev Patel. Backed by acclaimed production house A24, the project marks the studio’s first-ever film production in India and recently wrapped an extensive shooting schedule across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Set in the 14th century, The Peasant follows the story of a shepherd who embarks on a brutal path of vengeance after mercenaries destroy his community. As he tracks down those responsible, darker truths about his own nature begin to surface. The film is directed by Dev Patel, who has also co-written the screenplay with Will Dunn.

Saurabh joins an impressive international ensemble led by Oscar-nominated actor Christian Friedel, widely known for his acclaimed performance in The Zone of Interest. The cast also includes Danish actor Sebastian Bull from Sons, Cannes Best Actress winner Anasuya Sengupta, who received global acclaim for The Shameless, and veteran actor Vipin Sharma, who previously shared screen space with Dev Patel in Monkey Man.

Known for his strong screen presence and versatility, Saurabh Sachdeva has steadily carved a niche for himself with performances in projects such as Animal, Jaane Jaan, Bambai Meri Jaan, Vadh, Eko and Dhadak 2. Apart from acting, he is also widely recognised for his contribution to acting education through workshops and performance training, mentoring several actors across the industry.

His inclusion in The Peasant marks another significant step in his growing international journey as Indian talent continues to find a stronger footing in global cinema.

On the work front, Saurabh has also completed filming for an upcoming project starring Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, backed by Arka Media Works and set to be presented by filmmaker SS Rajamouli, further strengthening his slate of high-profile upcoming releases.
