Here are some highlights from the episode by The Hollywood Reporter India.
Saif Ali Khan Being Jealous of Karisma Kapoor
Kareena joked that her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, is quite jealous of her sister. The reason? The two talk four to five times a day! “He is like, ‘You talk to Lolo [Karisma] more than you talk to me! I feel like you are actually living with Lolo, not with me!’” Kareena said with a laugh. Karisma added that from their kids to their cooks, there’s nothing they don’t talk about.
Childhood Anecdotes
Karisma recalled a fond anecdote about Kareena from back when she was four years old. “It was my birthday, a fancy-dress party…and I was dressed like Shakuntala,” she said. “Then, Kareena Kapoor enters the party in shorts, no vest and a cap!”
It won her the first prize for her dance to a song from Disco Dancer (1982), as Karisma shared that her younger sister was born with a knack for surprising her audience.
Kareena Kapoor Khan Bares it All
In a fun game, Sharma asked Kareena questions about her sister, while the latter was given headphones to wear. The challenge was for Karisma to accurately guess what her sister would say about her. And these were some of Kareena’s answers:
One film of Karisma’s that you don’t like?: Maidan-E-Jung (1995)
Karisma’s first crush in Bollywood?: Salman Khan
One habit of hers that irritates you the most?: She takes a lot of time to get ready
The most cringe character from one of Karisma’s movies?: Papi Gudia (1996)
Karisma Kapoor on Filming ‘Yaaro o Yaara’ with Sunny Deol
Karisma reminisced about the days when Bollywood films didn’t have scripts and songs were shot in a day. It reminded her of filming the song ‘Yaaro o Yaara’, for the film Jeet (1996), with Sunny Deol in Switzerland. On the morning of the shoot, she saw the veteran actor wake up early in the morning to practise his moves in the chalet, all set to dance with her, despite her being the newcomer at the time. “And he’s so cute in that song!” she said.
Kareena Kapoor Khan Following in Her Sister’s Footsteps
“Did you want to be an actress after watching your sister?” Sharma asked Kareena, to which she said, “One hundred per cent,” adding that she was always present on all of her sister’s film sets, and vividly remembers every shot and moment. In fact, she was nine years old and standing behind the camera when Akshay Kumar gave his very first shot for one of his early films, Deedar (1992). Little did she know that in the years to come, she would go on to be cast opposite him in several films throughout her career.
