It was reported last year that Nayanthara had joined the film. The film's director, Gopichandh Malineni, announced X on November 18, marking the actress's birthday. "Here she comes… Welcoming the one and only Queen #Nayanthara garu into the world of #NBK111 Honoured to have her power and grace in our story. Wishing you a wonderful Birthday. Excited to see you on set soon," he wrote.
The film will reunite Nandamuri Balakrishna with Malineni after their outing in Veera Simha Reddy (2023), which co-starred Shruti Haasan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Balakrishna in a double role. Meanwhile, Nayanthara has worked with Balakrishna on films including Simha (2010), Sri Rama Rajyam (2011), and Jai Simha (2018).
Manoj Manchu was last seen in Teja Sajja's Mirai as the primary antagonist.
