The new film will mark the reunion of Gopichand Malineni and Nandamuri Balakrishna after the 2023 hit 'Veera Simha Reddy'.
Days after his Hindi debut Jaat hit the screens, director Gopichand Malineni is already busy locking his next Telugu film. According to reports, the director is in talks with Nandamuri Balakrishna for a new action film, which will mark their reunion after the 2023 hit Veera Simha Reddy.
A Pinkvilla report claimed that Malineni and Balakrishna would team up again for the new feature, which is billed as an "action-packed entertainer."
Currently in the scripting stage, the team intends to start filming in the second half of 2025, by when Balakrishna, popularly known as NBK, will wrap up the sequel of his 2021 film Akhanda.
NBK started the year with a bang as he delivered the blockbuster Daaku Maharaaj. The Bobby Kolli directorial, also starring Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela, grossed over ₹115 crores worldwide.
After teaming up with NBK, Malineni might then work with Pawan Kalyan for another actioner, which will go on floors only next year, but nothing has been locked yet.
Meanwhile, Jaat, headlined by Sunny Deol, has been a decent grosser at the box office so far, benefiting from the long weekend and holidays. The film has netted ₹47 crore so far. The collections of the film will see a dent this Friday when another Bollywood biggie releases: Akshay Kumar-led Kesari 2.
