'Pati Patni Aur Woh Do', Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh, Locks Holi 2026 Release

The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz, who had also helmed the 2019 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', which itself was a remake of the 1978 BR Chopra helmed comedy.

The sequel is coming. Makers of the upcoming romantic comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh Do on Saturday announced that they have locked the release date of the film, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh.

The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz, who had also helmed the 2019 Pati Patni Aur Woh, which itself was a remake of the 1978 BR Chopra helmed comedy led by Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha, and Ranjeeta Kaur.

Sharing an announcement creative from the film, the makers said Pati Patni Aur Woh Do will follow a journey of "laughter, love, and chaos" and will release in cinemas on Holi, March 4, 2026. The film is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and creatively produced by Juno Chopra.

The 2019 film, Pati Patni Aur Woh, was a box office success starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday. The sequel will feature Khurrana as Prajapati Pandey, the makers teased in the creative.

This will be the second film featuring Khurrana and Khan, who have also teamed up for an upcoming action-comedy produced by Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. While Khurrana has previously worked with Singh in the 2022 medical comedy Doctor G.

Khurrana, meanwhile, is currently awaiting the release of his big Diwali release, Thamma. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and written by Niren Bhatt, along with Suresh Mathew and Arun Falara, Thamma is the fifth installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik (who has helmed the Stree franchise as well as Varun Dhawan-starrer Bhediya for the universe) also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. Thamma is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 21, where it will have a box office face-off with Milap Zaveri's Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
