Actor Ram Charan has registered his third ₹200-crore global grosser after RRR and Rangasthalam, as his latest release, Peddi, has soared past the milestone. Also starring Janhvi Kapoor, the film enjoyed a strong extended weekend, with its home turf of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana punching in massive numbers at the box office.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial has grossed around ₹187 crore in India in four days, taking its domestic nett to ₹157 crore.

The film began with an impressive ₹21.83 crore gross (approximately ₹18.50 crore nett) through its Wednesday evening previews alone, followed by a smashing opening day of around ₹51 crore nett. Peddi then clocked in nearly ₹27 crore nett on its first Friday, before registering a good hold over the weekend, where it saw consistent growth.

While its Saturday nett figures were approximately ₹28.85 crore, Peddi grew even further on Sunday with a solid ₹31.90 crore, as reported by the industry tracker.

Overseas, Peddi has grossed around ₹46 crore in four days, including premieres. The extended weekend worldwide gross for the film stands at around ₹233 crore.

The film is on course to hit the ₹300-crore worldwide benchmark, but a clearer trajectory of its lifetime collections will emerge depending on how it holds on Monday as the word of mouth for the film has been mixed. While Charan's performance has received unanimous praise, Peddi has faced intense criticism over the objectification of women, specifically the way Kapoor was filmed.

While Peddi has performed well in its original Telugu version, the Hindi dubbed collections have been abysmal, in the range of ₹11–12 crore nett in four days, despite an extensive North Indian promotional campaign which also included a massive event in Bhopal and Mumbai.

The film, also starring Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and IVY Entertainment, with co-producer Ishan Saksena.
