'Peddi': Janhvi Kapoor's Look From The Ram Charan Film Out

The actress will be playing Achiyamma in the Ram Charan and Buchi Babu Sana film.

The first look of Janhvi Kapoor is out from Ram Charan's upcoming Telugu film Peddi. The makers of the film put out two posters featuring Kapoor as Achiyamma. "Our #Peddi's love with a firebrand attitude Presenting the gorgeous #JanhviKapoor as #Achiyyamma#PEDDI GLOBAL RELEASE ON 27th MARCH, 2026," their post read on X.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film will feature an ensemble cast that includes Ram Charan, Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. This also marks Kapoor's second venture in Telugu cinema following her appearance in Devara: Part 1.

With the promise of gripping performances and stunning visuals by cinematographer R Rathnavelu, the film is expected to be a return to form for Ram Charan after Game Changer. The Shankar film, which also starred Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah and Sunil, was released in January to mixed reviews. Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

The film has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by R Rathnavelu, production design by Avinash Kolla and editing by Navin Nooli. The makers showed us a glimpse of Ram Charan's character earlier this year with a teaser. Released on Ram Navami, the teaser introduced Charan in a rustic rural setting, where he was seen with a beedi in hand, exuding a philosophical demeanour. Combined with the visual of Charan hitting a cricket ball out of the park, the promo signalled his deep love for the sport.

Kapoor was last seen in Shashank Khaitan's Hindi romcom Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Fronted by Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film, which was set against the extravagant backdrop of a big fat Indian wedding, also featured Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul. This was the third theatrical outing for Kapoor, who was also seen in Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound, which opened in cinemas a week before Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
