TG Vishwa Prasad also said that this supervisor had threatened director Maruthi
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad has blamed the visual effects supervisors behind his film The Raja Saab for constant delays in production and the film’s sub-par VFX output. In an explosive interview to NTV, he also went on to add that this supervisor had extorted money from their team and had also threatened the film’s director Maruthi. Prasad reportedly alleged that the delay was first caused by the VFX team who had not started work on the CG portions until October of 2024. The film was initially expected to release in April of this year but in all likelihood, the film will not release in January 2026 for Sankranthi.
The producer did not name any one VFX supervisor, but several reports have alleged that he was referring to Kamal Kannan. He went on to add in the same interview that this supervisor had been ousted from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, tentatively being called ‘Globetrotter’. He also said this delay was initially caused because he chose to not begin work on The Raja Saab until he finished his output for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The trailer of The Raja Saab released on September 29, where fans of the actor got to witness the dual sides of their star. The film, which features Prabhas in two roles, showed us glimpses of his contrasting characters in the trailer. As the younger guy who has to navigate a house of horrors, Prabhas looked suave and funny. "I must do something unforgettable. Everyone must be stunned thinking 'how this guy pulled it off'," he says in the trailer. But in his secondary role, Prabhas appeared with silver hair and a devilish grin plastered on his face. "I'm the demon," he says, smoking a cigar.
The trailer also featured other prominent actors such as Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, and Zareena Wahab. The cast also includes Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar.
Helmed by People Media Factory, The Raja Saab is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad. The film has camerawork by Karthik Palani and music by Thaman S.
