Rashmika Mandanna; a poster of her upcoming film

Rashmika Mandanna shared a glimpse of her upcoming film on social media. The poster, which has the words "Hunted, Wounded, Unbroken" in bold, features the actress with a spear, standing beside a tree catching fire. "Can you guess what the title of my next could be? I don’t think anyone can actually guess.. but if at all you can guess it then i promise to come meet you," the actress wrote on X. The film could feature the actress in an unleashed manner, as the wording on the poster suggests.

The star was last seen in Sekhar Kammula's Kuberaa as Sameera, a kind stranger who strikes an unlikely friendship with Deva (Dhanush), a beggar, in the film. The Telugu-Tamil movie also co-starred Nagarjuna Akkineni and Jim Sarbh. At a pre-release event of the film, Nagarjuna spoke about working with Mandanna. Talking about Mandanna, the 65-year-old mentioned the actor's stellar run at the box office, from the Pushpa franchise to Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. "None of us are ₹2,000–3,000 crore actors, but she makes it look effortless—she’s beaten all of us," Nagarjuna said.

Kammula spoke to The Hollywood Reporter India about working with a star-studded cast for the first time in Kuberaa. "Rashmika is a sweetheart. She did a very special role in the film," he said. "Dhanush is a multi-faceted individual. And he's also a one-take actor... When I first met him, I told him he needed to be leaner and frailer for the role. He told me I'd probably be the only guy who wanted him to become leaner. He worked out his food and looked frail in the part. The characters stay in his head, and he lives the part."

Mandanna's latest film appearances include Vicky Kaushal's Chhava, where she played queen, Maharani Yesubai, alongside Kaushal's Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Salman Khan's Sikandar, and Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, a sequel to Sukumar's hit action drama.
