'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' is set to premiere on Netflix on September 18.
Netflix India has debuted the fun-filled trailer for The Ba***ds of Bollywood, the directorial debut series of Aryan Khan. With the show, Aryan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, takes the behind-the-scenes of the mad, manic world of the Hindi film industry.
In a major coup, The Ba***ds of Bollywood features cameos by Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan, the holy trinity of Hindi cinema. This is the first time the three Khans will be seen together in a fictional work. Besides these superstars, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, SS Rajamouli, Badshah, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, Rajkummar Rao and many others will mark their presence in the series.
An edgy, fast-paced satire, The Ba***ds of Bollywood follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), an ambitious outsider with dreams of making it big. With his loyal best friend Parvaiz (Raghav Juyal), sharp-tongued manager Sanya (Anya Singh), and his ever-supportive family by his side — his uncle Avtar (Manoj Pahwa), mother Neeta Singh (Mona Singh), and father Rajat Singh (Vijayant Kohli) — Aasmaan steps into the world of glitter and grit.
Aasmaan is soon to find that dreams come at a price, especially when ambition and ego collide. He finds himself up against his biggest challenge yet, superstar Ajay Talvar (Bobby Deol), when he is cast opposite his daughter, Bollywood newcomer Karishma (Sahher Bambba). Also in the mix is a shrewd producer, Freddy Sodawallah (Manish Chaudhari), as well as Jaraj Saxena (Rajat Bedi), a yesteryear actor desperate for a comeback.
The album of The Ba***ds of Bollywood is composed by Shashwat Sachdev, with guest composers Anirudh Ravichander and Ujwal Gupta.
At a preview event for his son's debut show, Shah Rukh Khan had urged audiences to show Aryan "150% the love you have given me." Set to premiere on Netflix on September 18, the series is produced by Gauri Khan under their banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
