Cannes 2026 Exclusive | Aditi Rao Hydari On Imtiaz Ali's 'O Saathi Re': ‘It Was A Space That I’ve Never Inhabited Before’

Aditi Rao Hydari made her Cannes debut in May 2022, which she describes as “a pinch me kind of a situation.” This year, the actress and L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador is back for her fifth visit, trailing a list of highly-anticipated new and upcoming projects.

In an interview with THR India, Hydari spoke about the various projects she is set to part of, including titles with directors like Imtiaz Ali and Vishal Bhardwaj. The list reveals her versatility as an actor and hints at the exciting characters in store for fans.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, O Saathi Re is Hydari's next web series in which she appears alongside Arjun Rampal and Avinash Tiwary. “Very difficult," Hydari says of the show. "It's a world I have never inhabited before, but also very juicy,” she adds, giving hints as to what to expect from the feel of the film.

“Then I did something which was so different,” she says, alluding to her role in the upcoming web series Welcome to Khoya Mahal, a quirky dark comedy directed by Konkona Sensharma and Jaydeep Sarkar. While attempting to contain her excitement, the actress gushes about working with actors Barun Sobti and Aparna Sen, describing it as “delicious, in a very different way". She adds that this was a role she had been dying to inhabit for a long time.

Hydari has also fulfilled her “longstanding wish” of working with director Vishal Bhardwaj, as she is all set to appear in Lust Stories 3 alongside actor Siddharth, describing the series as “very delicious and a lot of fun.”

She reveals she has been working on some Tamil and Telugu titles as well. “I was dying to get back into that groove,” she expresses.
