The cast and crew of Homebound made their red carpet appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday evening, ahead of the film’s premiere in the Un Certain Regard section.
Actors Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa joined director Neeraj Ghaywan and producer Karan Johar at the screening, marking their debut at the prestigious festival. The film, a drama set in rural North India, follows two friends striving to become police officers as their ambitions threaten to unravel their bond.
Kapoor wore a rose-hued ensemble designed by Tarun Tahiliani, featuring a metallic sheen and a sheer veil draped over her bun. The look, according to fashion account Diet Sabya, paid tribute to her late mother, actor Sridevi. The outfit was crafted from hand-crushed tissue fabric woven in Benaras and paired with pearl jewellery.

Khatter opted for a wine-coloured velvet suit with black embroidery and wide-leg trousers, while Jethwa wore a classic black tuxedo. Johar, who co-produced the film, arrived in a white coat with ornate embellishments, contrasted by black trousers and a ruffled collar. Ghaywan, who has previously screened Masaan and Geeli Pucchi at international festivals, was seen assisting Kapoor with her outfit before the team posed for photos outside the Palais des Festivals.

Homebound is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and co-produced by Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, with Marijke de Souza and Melita Toscan du Plantier also on board.
