Padukone presented the award to winning designer Soshi Otsuki at the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris
The world’s truly a stage for Deepika Padukone. The Indian star and fashion icon recently made history by becoming the first Indian juror for the prestigious LVMH Prize 2025. Padukone, who has turned heads on international platforms like Cannes and the Oscars, arrived in Paris for the glitzy event in a stunning LV ensemble.
Taking to Instagram, Padukone, known for her long association with the luxury conglomerate, shared pictures of her look from the global event. “Congratulations to all the winners! I cannot wait for the world to witness your magic (sic)!" she wrote.
The LVMH Prize is a major honour in the world of global fashion, recognizing emerging designers and artists under 50. Padukone was joined in this year’s jury by fashion icons Pharrell Williams, Sarah Burton, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Nicolas Ghesquière, Phoebe Philo, Jonathan Anderson, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Nigo. They were joined by top LV executives Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie and Sidney Toledano.
This year, Japanese designer Soshi Otsuki of the eponymous menswear brand Soshiotsuki won the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, winning a prize money of 400,000 euros and a year’s mentorship at the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Otsuki was presented the award by Padukone at the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris. London-based designer Steve O Smith and British-Nigerian-Brazilian Torishéju Dumi were the other prizewinners.
2025 has been a milestone year for Padukone. The actor was earlier honoured with a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame at Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, becoming the first Indian ever to get a star. On the film front, Padukone is currently working on AA22xA6, an epic sci-fi actioner starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee. She is also reportedly in King, opposite her frequent collaborator and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The duo were last seen together in Atlee’s Jawan (2023).
