Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu Reunite for 'Maareesan', Film Set for a July Release 

The 'Maamannan' duo returns for an intense face-off in the Sudheesh Sankar directorial, backed by Super Good Films.

Actors Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu, who previously worked together on the political drama Maamannan (2023), will return together on-screen in the upcoming Tamil film Maareesan. The film, directed by Sudheesh Sankar and produced by experienced producer RB Choudary under the Super Good Films label, has been gaining popularity among viewers. The makers dropped a new poster that confirms the film will be released in theatres in July. The date has yet to be confirmed.

The film is Super Good Films' 98th production venture and has a highly skilled technical crew. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music, Kalaiselvan Sivaji handles cinematography, and Sreejith Sarang will be editing.

Previously, the producers released a poster portraying Faasil and Vadivelu on a motorcycle, building the expectation of road trip themed film. But the most recent poster, depicts the actors in a dramatic face-off, with Vadivelu's character seeming wounded and bleeding.

Faasil, one of the most in-demand performers in South Indian cinema, was last seen in the thriller Bougainvillea (2024), Vettaiyan (2024) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024). His future projects include Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, Don't Trouble The Trouble and Karate Chandran, among others. Meanwhile, Vadivelu, the veteran comedian and actor, has Gangers, directed by Sundar C, on his schedule.

Following its theatrical run, Maareesan will be accessible for streaming on Netflix, with sources indicating that the digital premiere will take place about a month after the film's debut.
