Mythri Movie Makers's Fauzi, a period action drama starring Prabhas, will release in two parts, with the second installment planned as a prequel. The film is directed by filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi, best known for Sita Ramam.
The makers recently unveiled the film’s title poster, showcasing Prabhas as an Azad Hind Force soldier. Director Hanu Raghavapudi has confirmed that the film - based on real historical events - will be released in two parts.
"We're portraying one world of Prabhas in this movie, and the second installment will explore another dimension," Raghavapudi said, speaking about the scale and scope of Fauzi. "There's abundant material from our colonial past — stories that ended tragically but could've been fairy tales in another reality. l've also woven in a few real-life experiences that inspired me personally."
Hanu Raghavapudi had previously made Dulquer Salmaan-Mrunal Thakur’s superhit Telugu film Sita Ramam (2022). Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar are producing his next under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. Imanvi plays the female lead in her debut Telugu outing, while Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music.
In related news, Prabhas recently wrapped his portions for The Raja Saab. Backed by People Media Factory, The Raja Saab also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar. The film is also touted to mark Prabhas' first horror title, and will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The makers had earlier confirmed January 9, 2026 has the release date, squashing rumours of a postponement.
"In response to the ongoing speculation surrounding the release plans of Rebel Star Prabhas' upcoming magnum opus, The Raja Saab, the team wishes to clarify that all such rumours regarding a postponement from Sankranthi 2026 are entirely baseless. The Raja Saab will hit theatres worldwide on January 9th, 2026, as officially announced," the makers had read.
Meanwhile, Prabhas will also be seen in Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa and Sandeep Vanga Reddy's Spirit.
