Mohit Suri’s romantic drama starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda continues its strong theatrical run, breaking into 2025’s top five highest-grossing films
Mohit Suri’s latest directorial venture Saiyaara is maintaining momentum at the domestic box office, with the film’s fifth-day earnings surpassing its Monday figures. According to early estimates reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, the romantic drama collected ₹25 crore on Tuesday (22 July), bringing its domestic total to ₹132.25 crore.
The film saw a marginal rise in weekday performance, having earned ₹24 crore on Monday. With just under ₹18 crore left to reach the ₹150 crore milestone, Saiyaara is already among the top five highest-grossing Indian films of 2025 so far.
Released over the weekend, Saiyaara posted an opening of ₹83 crore across its first three days, positioning it as one of the year’s strongest box office debuts. The film has since continued to draw audiences on weekdays which is often a key indicator of word-of-mouth appeal and sustained interest. The real test of its growing appeal will be to keep a close eye on how much money Saiyaara is able to rake in during its second weekend.
Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film marks the on-screen debut of both actors. Set against an emotional and intense backdrop, Saiyaara has drawn attention for its blend of melodrama, romance, and high-stakes storytelling, in line with Suri’s signature directorial style.
The film now shares company with some of the year’s biggest releases. Leading the 2025 domestic box office is Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, a historical epic that has amassed ₹601 crore. Other high-grossers include Housefull 5 (₹183 crore), Raid 2 (₹173 crore), and Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, which has earned ₹163 crore and is seen by many as a spiritual successor to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par.
With no major releases expected to compete in the coming week, Saiyaara appears well-positioned to cross the ₹150 crore mark before the end of its second weekend.
