Mohanlal's upcoming film Vrusshabha is all set to be released on November 6. The actor recently made this announcement on social media, along with a new poster from the movie, featuring him in two different looks. "The ground shakes. The sky burns. Destiny has chosen its warrior. #Vrusshabha arrives on 6th November! #RoarOfVrusshabha #VrusshabhaOn6thNovember," the actor's post read.
Vrusshabha is jointly produced by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms, in association with Abishek S Vyas Studios, and is written and directed by Nanda Kishore. Kishore has previously directed Kannada films like Victory (2013), Adyaksha (2014), and Kichcha Sudeep, Prakash Raj-starrer Ranna (2015). His latest release was the 2021 action drama Pogaru starring Dhruva Sarja and Rashmika Mandanna.
Mohanlal began the year 2025 with two blockbusters: L2: Empuraan and Thudarum, which scripted history at the box office. He then went on to appear in a special appearance in the Telugu film Kannappa, followed by the well-received Malayalam comedy drama Hridayapoorvam, co-starring Malavika Mohanan.
The actor was recently awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the country's highest cinema honour, for his contributions to Indian cinema. The award was presented to him at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony. He became the youngest winner of the Award and the second Malayali, after legend Adoor Gopalakrishnan, to be conferred with the award.
The actor recently also received commendation from the Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi in New Delhi. He had earlier been conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army in 2009. Mohanlal was given this honour for his “outstanding contribution to society and his continued association with the Armed Forces,” according to a report in The Hindu.
Among Mohanlal's upcoming releases is Mahesh Narayanan's Patriot, which co-stars Mammootty, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Nayanthara. The film is currently being filmed.
