Ram Charan was last seen in Shankar's political drama Game Changer (2025), alongside Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah. Kapoor, on the other hand, was last seen in Shashank Khaitan's Hindi romcom Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Fronted by Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film, which was set against the extravagant backdrop of a big fat Indian wedding, also featured Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul. This was the third theatrical outing for Kapoor, who was also seen in Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound, which opened in cinemas a week before Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
